I’ve had Kona my alocasia for a few months now and every time a new shoot comes up and grows a leaf the other one dies! Anyone able to give me advice? Thanks 😊 🪴

I have heard some Alocasias are like that. My Polly does that.
1 gillaI have a black velvet that did that for the first few new leaves. Now that its more mature its finally been able to sustain them and it’s putting out its 4th new leaf without any others dying. Its condition were good (soil, moisture, fert., etc.) and the only thing I could conclude was that it wasn’t mature enough 🤷🏼♀️ Do you fertilize? I could be lacking enough nutrients to keep both alive. But I’m sure more experienced Alocasia growers may have some other ideas!

I’d trim the dead leaf to conserve energy and see if you can’t get her up and on her feet.
1 gillaShe’s just waiting to be happy enough to hold more. If you can move her closer to some light, that might help as well as regular fertilization.
