I’m so confused on whether or not this plant is slowly meeting her demise. First pic is the day I got her, second pic a month later, and the third pic is from today. Any tips on how to help her? I’ve tried less light, more light, new soil, less watering, and more watering and it’s just looking worse. I love this plant and it was doing so well at first, when it started blooming I thought it was alright but looking at it now I’m not so sure.

I believe that is a low light low water plant.

I fear this might be a death bloom… succulents need a lot of light and water by bottom watering fill your decorative pot about 1/3-1/2 full and let it soak 15-30 mins drain the access and let it run off for about an hour or more. Check your pot occasionally to make sure there is no access water building up and finally let a day or two pass before you next water according to Planta. (They tend to water often) truth be told alot of plants love a dry spell in between watering as it allows for roots to dry out.

I think Bailall and Zan are both correct. It looks like it is a sempervivum. They live for a couple of years before flowering and then dying. Think salmon but with chlorophyll. So you your care was probably what it needed to complete it’s lifecycle. Take this opportunity to gather her seeds and propagate. It could be cool to know her progeny are populating your window sills for years to come.

This was actually so sweet to read, I’ve been feeling horrible trying to keep her alive & thinking she was dying because of my care. Thank you! Any suggestions for how to propagate, I’m new to this and have never done it before😊

I am so glad it helped. As hard as it can be, I find it strangle my comforting to see and participate the life cycles of the plants in my care. Somehow it make the existential dread of passing beyond the veil less terrifying. Uh wow. I think I should set the adult beverage aside for the night. Unfortunately I don’t know much about how to propagate them by seed but there is info aplenty on the interwebs. Best of luck to you and your future army of houseleeks!
