Definitely not happy no matter what I do. Down to one healthy leaf. I may just have to out him outside if this spot doesn't work. I repotted him and he threw a fit. Any tips? Im in S florida... too hot outside. He is currently in a west facing window NOT under the grow light because he hated that and killed the other two leaves.
I’m in the same boat w my alocasia micholitziana. She was so beautiful and then one day her leaves started yellowing from the edges and now I’m down to also one good leaf at the time. I was told my soil wasn’t airy enough so I made chunkier soil w a ton of bark, perlite, moss, and a bit of soil. Now I’m playing the waiting game and see if she bounces back 🤞🏼good luck w urs 🥺
2 likes I discovered he was root-bound and the soil hardened as it dries so I moved him to a cactus mix with perlite and orchid bark and then he threw a fit and became brown. I was reading he was in shock from the different nutrients and souk so I have just watched him deal with his anger issues.... right now we seem to be hanging in there.... good luck with yours.😫

Introduce him to an environment slowly never to fast or it will cause damage. I’ve seen a lot of people struggle with this plant so my suggestion is a spread sheet of your plants and their basic care requirements once you know their ranges and stuff it becomes abundantly clear what a plant may need. Also get a meter to see what conditions are like where you may keep it probably could get away with spending at most 50 on tools that will last years to come for this exact purpose.
0 likesThis plant is one that will humble you. I think the key to making mine happy has always been light. Any change will make her drop leaves, but consistency will bring them back every time. I keep the soil consistently moist and pest check often. I’d leave him in one place for a few weeks and see how it goes. Mine is now coming back and loving the extra humidity of my cabinet.
