Have y’all ever had aphids just disappear?? I took home this plant from a greenhouse and when I looked at it a day or two later I noticed it was INFESTED. But at the time I was running late to work and forgot about it. About a week passed and I remembered, only to find it aphid free, same goes for all the surrounding plants. I still have them all aphid treatment (soapy water and neem oil) but the lack of aphids on a previously infested plant is baffling.

Aphids do have a seasonal life cycle, so at some point they do naturally die off. But more likely this time of year, there may have been beneficial insects nearby to take care of the problem. Assuming you had it outdoors, that is.

I stand by the phrase (it’s a phrase now) where there are aphids, there are spiders to take care of them. But maybe not indoors 😞

I get plenty of spiders. Even though I’m afraid of them I wouldn’t mind if they ate more fungus gnats
