    The beneficial fungi will usually show up as little mushrooms while maintaining their mycelium underground. This on the other hand is a fungal mold so I’d say it would be best to remove it.

      i have some antifungal spray.. should i use that?

      Definitely use that but also see how much you could scoop out. Just to minimize the amount needed to be killed by the spray.

    You can mix 10-15% alcohol into 85-90% water and put in spray bottle and just sprits top of soil where fungus is growing. Done. Problem solved.
