My Alocasia Black Velvet is just over a year old, and recently she has been partially drooping. I just fertilized 3 weeks ago, watered about a week ago, and it gets very indirect light. Any idea what’s going on? Do I need to repot?

Try checking to see if its root bound, if so then repot hope this helps

With Alocasia, they typically only have 3-4 leaves at a time per plant, and as soon as a new one grows in the oldest begins to droop. Does it look like a new leaf is coming in on each one or did one just come through? This could be the reason, but I’m not 100% sure.

Yes, the droopy ones are about a year old now! But the stems still feel solid and healthy so I was hoping not to cut them off… but I understand what you’re saying! It does seem like a lot of leaves for Alocasia

Yeah, is there only 2 there? Because the one looks like it has 6 leaves, which I was amazed by! You’re doing something right! 😁
