This is my roommates plant and she’s saying it’s infected with some type of bug. First photo you can see on the stem some type of bug and she says the white spots in the soil are larvae. Does anyone have an idea on what it might be?

Hard to tell with your pictures. It kind of looks like springtails, which are harmless for plants, as they usually only feed on dead materials in the soil.

If they are springtails you can tell because they hop (per something I learned from another Planta member and follow up reading)

These are the only photos she sent me, If I can manage to get a better photo I will post it in the comments. Thank you for the suggestion tho, I will let her know about springtails

What is it, Fennel or Dill? It’s not very clear so it’s hard to say.

It’s dill
0 J'aimeWhy hasn’t she tossed it yet? It looks pretty dead to me. I hope she doesn’t have other plants! 😳🫣
