Anyone know the best way to treat root rot in monstera Thai cons? I got my second one today - it was shipped to me - and a good chunk of roots were rotted out. I currently have her in a hydrogen peroxide & water bath to kill off any remaining bacteria that might be present. How should I go about potting her - she was shipped in a sphagnum moss ball - and trying to prevent further root rot? Once she’s finished with the root bath, I’m going to let the roots dry for a bit before doing anything. Any and *all* advice is very welcome. I’m not used to root-rot and don’t have a lot of experience with it. Her leaves look good and a bit damaged from shipping but nothing else has gone bad so far.

Ugh. That sounds awful. Especially because those plant usually aren't cheap. I think you're on the right track with what you've done already. Now it's just the waiting game. 😬 Can you contact the seller and tell them? Maybe they could send you a new plant?

Sadly the seller’s policy isn’t welcoming or refunds or exchanges :( Im really wishing to save her. I’m pretty sure I’m going to separate the two nodes to hopefully give it a better chance at success because if one nod rots, at least I’ll have the other one :/

I wanna throw up for you. Seriously. This is such a bummer. This right here is why we need a frowny face button instead of the heart.

I’m not sure about the state/size of your plant, but here’s what I would do: if u have healthy roots-pull off the bad roots and plant in just perlite or water. If u have a node (where aerial roots grow from) you can cut off all the roots, wait for it to callous over, and put it in water, it will grow new healthy roots
