Any guesses what the issue is here with my Hoya? It’s been declining like this for the better of 2 years. Can’t be overwatering (I water when the leaves are soft). I also caved and tried watering more frequently this past spring spring and the leaves turned yellow so i stopped that. Sits in a south-facing window…

I do not know what is wrong but it looks really bad to me. Maybe some sort of rot? I water mine according to how dry the soil is. I use a bamboo skewer to test the moisture and water when it gets pretty dry. Those leaves that are brown at the base are goners I’m afraid. If you can find a local Hoya group on Facebook or something they might be helpful. We have a really good one where I live. I’m in western Washington. Also maybe a fungus? 🤷‍♀️

I’m afraid you’re right since all the bottoms leaves dropped, as you can see. I water when it’s completely dry and the leaves begin to soften but not wilt.

Fungus is an interesting theory. My variegated one is doing the same thing so I figured I’m just doing something wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️ these plants don’t want me lmao

I wonder if water has gotten in the crevice and is sitting there, causing the leaf to rot? Or maybe an infection or pest is living there undisturbed? When my tri-color got root rot the tips are what got mushy first instead of the base.

      Thanks! That’s very possible.
