Any recommendations on getting rid of fungus gnats? There are so many different remedies out there and I don’t know what works and what doesn’t!

I’ve had good success with sticky traps for the flyers and 1x watering with 4:1 water to hydrogen peroxide to kill anything in the soil (but it won’t hurt your plants). You can also add diatomaceous earth to the plant. You can get it at most garden stores. Add a thick layer to the top of your soil and then use something to mix it into the top 1/2 inch. This will finish off anything that survives in the soil.

Thank you for that! I will give it a try!

The sticky traps work amazing! I also heard that watering with Misquote Bits also help a lot, I have some but haven’t tried it yet. I’ve also tried cinnamon but it’s not helping much for me.

Thank you for the info! Sounds like the sticky traps are very effective. I was wondering about the cinnamon—I read about it online and didn’t know if it would do anything so that helps!

The cinnamon part is to help reduce some of the fungus in the soil just in case it has been overwatered and proactive measure to help reduce chance of root rot

Although I’m not sure how quickly it would act. I found this remedy once to try saving an orchid—which died (probably didn’t catch problem in time)

I haven’t used cinnamon for pests specifically, but I use it all the time for mold/mildew on the soil and it works great! Just don’t go too crazy with it. I’ve put way too much on before and it burned my stems at the soil line almost killing my neon pothos. But it was definitely user error.

My local nursery suggested using “Mosquito Bits” that kills mosquito AND fungus gnat larvae! This worked really well when this was a huge problem for me.
