Hi everyone! So I recently just got into gardening, I have a slight knowledge of plant care being raised by my grandmother who is an avid gardener! So I need some clues on what could be going on with my vegetables out on my balcony. They’re relatively healthy, but droop during the day and go back to being firm at night, do y’all think it could be heat related, water related, not enough light? Just a slight comment that I live in Houston where by 12 it’s close to 100 degrees outside, and I also live in a high rise on the 12th floor so we’re closer to the sky than ground. Do y’all recommend placing my vegetables indoors or leaving them outdoors on the shaded balcony? I have tomato’s, green onions, carrots, bell peppers, habaneros, jalapeños, and Serrano growing all at once. Any tips even unrelated to the direct post will help for a first time plant mom. Thank you! (Edit: also this pic was taken while the plants have firmed a bit, but if y’all look a little closer you’ll notice some leaves are starting to curl inwards any ideas on what could be causing that?

My guess is heat. It’s been in the 90’s in a Oregon the last few days and I’m watering my tomatoes daily, and giving them a mist with the hose in the evening.

Your plants roots are baking on the pavers. Try elevating your pots to increase the airflow and drainage. The stronger the roots the stronger the plant :) When watering plants, wash the floor of your balcony where there are surrounding plants to assist with the heat. And finally, maybe a weighted umbrella stand?
