I just bought this today in hopes of saving it!! I think it may be a peace lily?? Can anyone give me some idea of what I can do to save it? I repotted and watered it today. When repotting it the roots were super dry and there was a weird centipede looking bug on its roots. It’s very droopy and has white streaks :-( I think for sure that it’s definitely under watered
Peace Lily’s droop a lot when under-watered - I can’t say for sure that it is a peace Lily… but I think it might be…. Try taking the drainage pot inside the actual pot - take it out and put it in a bucket of water and let it soak there for about 30min If you don’t have the drainage pot and you just repotted it in it’s plastic/clay/ceramic pot…. Then out it in the shower and have the shower flow on it?
1 j'aimeI put it in a little bucket full of water for a few hours and it has perked up so much. I also am second guessing that it’s a peace lily. The leaves look a lot different. But thank you so much! Hopefully it will hold its health and get better :-))
1 j'aime Yes, the leaves are different from what a peace Lily looks like… I think it might be a Dieffenbachia.
1 j'aimeIt’s a variegated peace Lily. The stripes are normal! You already watered it. Let it soak up the moisture. Planta is pretty spot on with mine for when to water. Let it dry out a little (maybe halfway) between waterings. If you overwater, you’ll get brown edges. Too little and she’ll droop. Good luck!
