Hi 👋 I have some new plants that don’t like lime in the water but my tap water is quite hard, anyone suggest the easiest and cheapest way to make my tap water more suitable for these plant babies? Thanks 😊

I use water conditioner-that stuff for fish/aquariums. It’s about 5-10/bottle USD. 5ml is takes care of 10gal water so it should last for a bit. I don’t know how it would affect lime but might be worth looking into.

I take a water jug and fill it up and wait 24 hrs and it is distilled and safe to use!!

I got a rain barrel this year and it’s better a game changer! You can make one or order them from your local big box store

Did you know that it’s against the law to collect rain water in some states?! Because I live in one of those states
.I didn’t know until we bought a rain barrel and got chewed out by a neighbor, then of course looked it up. So just be careful! Like seriously, how sad people try to control natural resources that should be available for everyone

I use a brita! My plants love it! I do buy the elite filters though which are more expensive (but also last longer) than the regular filter. I used to leave my water sit out over night but as my collection kept growing bigger I tried using a Brita so I didn’t have to worry about making sure I leave enough water out to sit
