i have a calathea named francesca that was perky and beautiful when i first got her and now she has a lot of leaf damage and is very droopy. at first, the pot i had her in didn’t have drainage so about 2 weeks ago i drilled a hole in the bottom on the pot and i accidentally left her outside in shade for the rest of the day. since then she has been even more droopy. i water her once a week and she is in a southwest facing window. does anyone have any advice on how to get her happy again ?

i’m not sure if this will work, just because calatheas are so needy (😭) , but maybe she needs more humidity? try misting her, or maybe invest in a small humidifier! (my target has them in the dollar section!) hope she starts perking up again, she’s so pretty! :-)

Do you use distilled or rain water? Those are necessary for calatheas.

YES ON THE DISTILLED!!! Also ^Eliya^ Knows what she’s talking about, she’s got the most stunning white fusion Calathea in the universe! It is a hard class of plant and specifically the white fusion is the hardest I hear.

I just watched the best YouTube video about Calatheas! Sheffield Made Pants “The real reason you are killing your Calathea” had some tips I had never heard.
