Hi there! Any tips on dealing with scales/mealybugs? I had an infested plant that I managed for a long time by picking them off, misting, and occasionally rubbing leaves/stems with ACV - it was enough that the plant continued new growth and flowering, but they just kept coming back and the plant eventually died (may be from unrelated reasons). I just found a couple scales on a newer spider plant I have, and I don’t want it to happen again! What do you usually do?

Mix a solution of mild dish soap (not the de-greasing kind) and water and spray down the whole plant, especially under the leaves. This will kill the bugs. Then rinse it off thoroughly and spray with neem oil to prevent them from coming back. Continue to do this weekly until they do not return

I’m dealing with mealy bugs also on a beautiful pothos with tons of long vines. I have been spraying with neem oil and I’ve sprinkled cinnamon all over the soil. As I read last night, the male mealy bugs have wings in adulthood- so it’s super important that it’s managed before they multiply and take over other plants. 😭
