ArchousHeās fine. I wouldnāt worry. Are you planning on planting that in the ground? Iām in Zone 9b and I have this in my front yard and itās THRIVING. I have to cut it regularly bc otherwise itād take over my other shrubs.

Iām in the zone 8a I donāt think Iām going to plant him in the ground bcuz Iām a beginner plus we get the grass cut and I donāt want them to cut my plant

Well I wouldnāt plant it in the grass, but you could actually take a cutting, and stick it straight in the ground. You could also stick it in a glass of water and put it in your window sill to grow roots. Iāve had to propagate both ways, stuck in the ground wasnāt as successful but I also did it during warm weather. 3 out of 5 survived. Thatās how I got my plant, my mother in law gave me some clippings and I just planted them when I got home š that way you can have it in the container or in the ground. But it grows fast so youād need to probably give it a bigger pot eventually.
