Hey everybody! I have tons of plants and decided to challenge myself with a common ivy - Sarah. I bought her 3 weeks ago at Ace Hardware and she was gorgeous! Now lately my leaves are wilted, some crispies, and over time taking more and more leaves off. Now she looks bare! My guess I think it’s been overwatered too fast as I also had Planta do the scheduling for me and maybe too much sun? I live in a basement complex and I had her hanging until now. Can someone give me advice on this type of plant please! Thank you!

Today I repotted and relocated from my living room space to my bedroom and see if she adapts better there.

I know they prefer alkaline water. Not sure if thats the cause. And honestly i just water mine with la city tap and its been doing fine for the last 1.5 years. It lives outside in my front porch area that is covered so it gets bright indirect light (no direct sun)… although there is also wild ivy growing in my back area which gets zero care (just nature) and gets a fair amount of direct light and its everywhere lol. So i think the key is outside with lots of some kind of light (i think it adapts to dappled direct) Also overwatering is usually caused by lack of light.

I have the same problem with my ivy! Do you think I’d have to keep it outside to keep it alive?

I have ivy that I’ve kept alive for 18 months. Was a Christmas centerpiece with Poinsettia that I’m going to remove soon. Lots of crispies but still okay. Western window and lots of water.
