Got this alocasia pink dragon from the clearance section at Lowe’s a few days ago. I gave her new soil, washed her roots, and sprayed her with Neem oil on the first day. I’ve kept her isolated from my other plants but today when I brought her out into the living room to place her with my other plants I noticed tiny white bugs in the soil. They were pretty fast and there were quite a few of them. I sprayed her again with neem oil and also went ahead and sprayed my other 20 plants just in case. Anything else I should do? I haven’t had any pests like this before (really only gnats which I’ve controlled with sticky traps) so I’m just going off of what I’ve read here and in other communities. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

Have you tried a castile soap bath? I’ve heard it helps a lot with pests.

What soil did you repot it with?

Indoor potting mix from members mark. It has perlite and orchid bark too for drainage

I really can’t tell what the bugs are from the picture - are they moving around, flying, on the leaves? I’m glad originally quarantined the plant l, but next time you might want to at least wait two weeks since it might take some time for any pests to be known, especially in the initial egg/larval stages. I’d also usually refrain from replanting unless super necessary (like dying from root rot or infested with bugs in the soil) otherwise you risk shocking the plant too much from both moving into a new environment *and* getting its roots messed with/soil changed etc.

Different pests need different treatments, but spraying with neem oil & insecticidal soap and wiping down the leaves is definitely a good start 👍🏾
