Any thoughts re what could going on here appreciated! Not postitive what kind of plant it is, this app says a Bird of paradise or something along that line. The leaves are curling and browning at the tips. The leaf seems to be sort of “mottled”It is in full sun for about 4 hrs /day, and we had a lot of rain a few days ago but it’s been dry for 2or 3days now….? Quite warm out

usually when leaves curl, it means they don’t have enough water. i’ve never had a bird of paradise before so im not sure how much water they require but assuming it’s tropical, probably a lot more water than just when it rains. good luck! :)

It definitely does look like a bird of paradise - I’m still new to mine and am growing it indoors, but yours looks like maybe it could use a bit more water?

bird of paradise are my absolute favorite !! get ready bc they grow fast, mine doubled in height in one year ! curling means it’s dehydrated. if it starts splitting or gets dry edges its bc of low humidity. i recently found this girl on youtube that i love learning from. i’ll post the video below. she goes over most common issues and fixes in the last 3 minutes of the video
