Anyone have any thoughts on what’s happening with this maranta? Some of the leaves have this shriveled and almost eaten look starting at the stem and working inward toward the tip. I started treating with Fungicide 3 (which also treats many insects). First application 1 week ago, second application just now, after the pics were taken. It’s a pretty healthy plant otherwise. It’s currently flowering like crazy. It’s in a north west corner, a few feet from north and west windows so it gets bright indirect light. Direct sun never touches it. It’s on a pebble tray. No AC/heat draft. It’s not over or under watered, in my opinion. I used to mist it every few days but stopped a week ago when I suspected fungus, to prevent spread. I’m at a loss. The environment seems pretty ideal and I can’t see any visible pests.

My best guess is a reaction to the fungicide. I’ve heard that after treating them with that stuff you have to pull them away from bright light for a day cause it will react with the product to kinda burn them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for your comments. I apologize I wasn’t clear. I treated in response to the leaves looking like that. That’s a good point though and I’ll give it a bit more distance from the window while applying the fungicide.

These plants like distilled water. If you’re using tap water, I would switch to distilled for both watering and misting.
