I need some guidance with my dwarf fiddle leaf fig. The leaves started to droop and I figured it was time to water. Usually she perks right back up but this time she didn’t. Two large leaves fell off. She’s been drooping for 4 days now after watering and it seems like the soil is holding a lot of the water. Any advice?

Seems it could be from overwatering! These are finicky. I wouldn’t water til the soil is pretty much completely dry.

Also what kind of potting soil is it in? Maybe could benefit from something a bit chunky/more well-draining

I haven’t repotted from its original pot. It seems like that’s the next most logical step with everyone’s feedback. The soil does not seem to drain properly, thank you! 🪴

      Of course! That should help!

It can be as simple as putting some wood items like chopsticks or a piece of any super porous item to dry the soil. You may be able to add some pearlite or pebbles/aquarium gravel to help the soil drain faster. Make sure it is in a good size pot, but not too big or it will hold too much water. Also check for root rot while doing so.

Transferring to terracotta might help it dry out faster and avoid rot. Good luck!
