I have a sugar ant problem all over all my outdoor pots especially the veggies. I’ve heard this is an issue specific to the PNW. I’m not sure if I should be concerned, will they do damage or set up a nest? How do I control or get rid of them. They’re only outside (🤞please don’t come inside!🫣) right now but I definitely don’t want them anywhere!

I’m in Oregon, and there are some natural things they don’t like… you can try cinnamon or mint plants (put them in pots so they don’t take over!) when they do come inside, a lot of times looking for water, we use Terro ant bait. Good luck, they’re the worst!

Thank you! Yes I’ve had them in my home when I was in SW WA…hopefully they just stay out there where my plants may share some of their water!
