Just got this new dragon fruit plant yesterday, and has these “dents” on the corners where the plant touched the pot. Does it need to be re-potted? Is this something I should be worried about?

Funny, i have one in propagation (just one arm of it) and the day after i potted it up i found same thing but realized it was actually a squirrel that was chewing on the plant! You could have some neighborhood snackers. 🐿️

It’s just outgrowing that planter. Dragon fruit seeds are extremely tiny and it recently became trendy to put a lot of them in one little pot. These need space to grow. You can cut some of them off and put them more separated in a bigger pot.
0 likesThank you! I’m new to all of this, but what type of soil would you recommend re-potting it to?

I recommend something with lots of perlite and sand. It’s very cactus like but it’s a tropical fruiting plant, which means it wants well draining soil that gets watered frequently :)
