What is wrong with my peace Lily? It’s being super dramatic. I watered it a week ago now (it was droopy like this, and a few leaves started to yellow). And it perked back up. Then a couple days ago it was super droopy again, and I figured hey maybe it needs more water. Top layer of soil was dry. Watered it a little bit. And when I get home-still droopy! In a well draining, new soil (coco coir, perlite, charcoal, orchid bark mix). It usually resides near a grow light. I got it 3 weeks ago and haven’t fertilized it yet, could that be it!? What do I do?

I did water it a couple days back. The soil is still very moist. I hadn’t watered it in over a week then it was drooping (and dry). But then after I watered it, just got worse.

Don’t be afraid to let it dry out. I’ve done this to mine before. Just give it light and leave it alone for a bit.

There could be many reasons some including too much direct sunlight and inconsistent watering. Water it from the bottom (put a tray underneath the plant and fill it with water, like the other comment said, do this for fifteen minutes then take it out) hope this helps!

It’s about 2 feet away from a grow light. Is that too close?

I think that’s ok just make sure the grow light isn’t on 24/7 and try to place it above the plant, if possible

My peace lilies always needed a ton of water, usually every 3 days. Bottom water it like everyone else said so you know it actually got the water it wants, and then do it again in a couple days. Trim the yellow leaves too. It might have a nutrient deficiency so if you have fertilizer it’s worth a shot. You could also use pasta water, water from boiling eggs, or rain water.
