Fungus gnats love moisture! I always use the dry out method. Let the plant dry out and make sure your giving the plant plenty of time in between watering to dry up so no fungus gnats can lay their eggs in the soil. Also does the plant have drainage? If so I recommend bottom watering the plant. Fungus gnats only lay their eggs on the top surface of soil within the first 1-2 inches. Hopefully this helps!

Thank you!
いいね 1件I’ve had good luck with Mosquito Dunks! You can buy them online or at most garden centers. Put it in a tea bag and soak the bag in your watering can. Then water your plants with the ‘tea’.

For the live gnats, I made my own vinegar traps or you can buy the sticky ones. For the eggs, some hydrogen peroxide mixed with water. Doesn't hurt the plant- just kills the eggs. Keep it dry after that they like moisture. That's what got rid of my infestation last year.

I used captain jacks neem oil concentrate, and a bit of diatomaceous earth ( for any other pests) and the next day they were completely gone! I didn’t have a complete infestation but I could tell if ignored it any longer I would’ve been doomed. I used both on the same day so I can’t tell you which one worked better but I recommend both products!
