This is a spider plant that my cat keeps eating anything green on it. It’s trying to grow again any suggestions on how to keep it away from my fur babies? Hanging isn’t an option because I rent.

GabbyYou can try and get a small bit of chicken wire or just get mesh and either some wire or wooden sticks to hold it up around it. I hope this helps!

Fern <3I would get some fake plants to get your cat to not know the difference, and some plants put off a funny taste in which is very helpful to cats to teach them to not eat them. I have a plant that my cat ate, and didn’t like, so she made a weird face (it was so cute) and she has now learned her lesson. 😂

That’s too funny but also a pretty good idea. I noticed some plants she doesn’t bother, I guess that’s why it’s not appealing to her pallet 😂

JjacoboAlso, if you’ve never tried it before bitter apple spray works pretty well. It tastes horrendous but it’s organic so won’t harm your plants or your cats. The taste definitely deters my dog, I just spray it on anything I don’t want him to chew/ingest

I just get it from Amazon but it looks like petco carries it as well

Catbe careful keeping that plant around your cat !! it’s a hallucinogen for cats and as it’s said it’s not dangerous i wouldn’t recommend it! it is literally acid for cats

One of my cats goes NUTS for my spider plant. I’ve got my spider plant on the top shelf of a plant stand about 4 feet up so the majority of it is out of my cat’s reach. He can still reach the pups, but he can have those as a little treat.
