can someone tell me what to do if i “hypothetically” used soil that had been outside for a little while, in the same spot spiders lay eggs… so basicallyyy, the majority of my indoor plants are spawning a ton of the same spiders that live outside🥹 i’m cool with spiders and everything, but not when they’re in my bedroom lol

Repot with new soil and invest in a organic pest control spray that’s for your plants and non toxic to pets if you have any. Suggest repotting any other plants it may have spread too. Not a bad idea to spray in your home and outside your home for spiders.

Keep in mind that spiders are beneficial “insects” that won’t hurt your plants in any way and actually aid in the eating/killing of harmful insects that could harm your plants. Spiders will feast on aphids, armyworms, leafhoppers, flea-hoppers, leafminers and spider mites. They attack the spruce budworm, pine sawfly, sorghum midge and tobacco budworm. They especially like caterpillars, thrips, plant bugs, cucumber beetles, scarabs, wasps, beetles, mosquitoes, and flies.

I would use soap and water to clean out contaminated pot if it’s reusable or buy a new one 😊
