I was out of the country for a few weeks and when I returned home I noticed that my lucky bamboo died or is dying… it still has one or two green leaves, but the rest is dead. It fell over and I wanted to check the roots so I tried pulling it out carefully, but I guess I needed to more careful because I ripped its roots out… Is there a way to revive it? How do I revive it? Thank you for your time! Please have a good day!

From what I can see in the photos I’m afraid it’s past the point of revival. However, if the is any poor Rion of the cane that is still firm and green you might be able to get it to root in water or sphagnum. It would be a long shot as the plant will be pretty weak but worth a shot if it has sentimental value.

Just for future reference! I have my lucky bamboo in water! There are several ways to set up a hydroponic environment for you bamboo (I literally just have mine in a mug with some rocks for stability and water!). He’s been living like that for several years now and is doing better than he ever was in soil :) every vaca I go on, he’s the least I worry about haha. I just fill up his mug before leaving. So sorry for your plant loss 😪 but I’m manifesting a new healthy bamboo plant for you!!

It needs water. If you have been gone for a few weeks the plant got no water so it is probably died or dying.
