My lemon tree has been barley alive for a few years. I almost killed it when I was a new plant mom. I let it hibernate in my basement (55-65 degrees) over the winter. When spring came it got new buds and even 2 flowers. But now it is just barely hanging in there. I have been giving it citrus fertilizer. Watering when the top soil is slightly damp. Any advice? Is it hopeless??

Do you have anywhere outside in the sun you could put it? Also, you might want to let it get a bit dryer than slightly damp on top between waterings.

Thank you Danika, where I am it just started being consistently over 55 at night. So I did just set it outside. I have it on my porch which is north facing. It gets great late morning mid afternoon sun. I could also set it in backyard, which is south facing, figure that is going to be the same either way, correct me if I’m wrong. I’ll wait u til it is a bit dryer before watering next.
