I bought this triostar at my local nursery and noticed brown crisp edges and lots of dry white spots. I thought the white spots were dust but every time I dusted the leaves, the spots came back. How do I fix this?

Honestly what works for me is mixing Neem Oil, Water and Dish Soap in a bottle then spraying and wiping the leaves. Wipe them with a dry paper towel or microfiber cloth. If the spots return just clean them again with the same solution!

The spots look to be hard water stains. The best way to avoid is misting with rainwater or reverse osmosis. You can try rubbing down with lemon juice, but I would test on a leaf first to see how it responds. The brown crispy is probably due to improper watering or using hard water. They are very sensitive to minerals. And woe is you if it dries out. Pretty plants but very particular about care.

This used to happen to mine. Now I only water it with distilled and the water in the humidifier is also distilled. She’s rebounding! Pushing out a lot of new growth and brown tips seems to be easing up
