Hi. I’ve had this dieffenbacchia for a year. It did great outside in the spring and summer but it’s been a struggle since I brought it inside. It was so full and beautiful previously. I’ve cut back the yellowed leaves as I will after this photo. I used neem oil on it once a few weeks ago. Not sure if it’s a pest or what. Any idea?

Some of the older leaves are turning yellow due to age. This plant will eventually drop its oldest leaves as it grows and ages. If the plant is exposed to low light or overwatering it can also get yellowing leaves. So make sure it isn’t placed too dark and that it’s allowed to dry out properly before it’s watered.

Thanks so much! Hopefully that’s all

I’ve found that my dieffinbachia is so picky and sensitive. I agree with the above — when she was in low light most of the leaves yellowed and dropped and got super leggy reaching for light. Find a nice bright indirect spot and don’t mess with her for a bit and she’ll bounce back :)
