ElinIs it an Alocasia? It looks like the glands that they have where their main leaf veins split into finer veins. ☺️

It is! Goodness, sorry I forgot any details at all I was so panicked when I found these. It’s the back of the leaf of an alocasia polly right by the stem, and I had no idea they had glands!

No worries ☺️ Yes, they, and a lot of other plants, have glands from with different functions. - Some to deter pests, some to attract pollinators, for example.
