Alocasia are notorious for loosing a lot of their older leaves. If your plant looses more leaves than it’s producing you should double check if it gets a sufficient amount of light, fertiliser and water. Lacking light, nutrient or being overwatered are the most common issues that causes leaf loss on your Alocasias.

If it’s an older leaf dying but you have a new leaf coming in that is normal alocasias don’t hold onto too many stems at once. However if you’re loosing leaf’s immaturely I’d check the roots, these plants get root rot so commonly especially when they are potted in soil. If there’s mushy/brown roots and the main bulb smells bad and has soft brown/red spots then you have root rot. You can try to save it by removing the unhealthy parts, rinse what’s left with diluted hydrogen peroxide, then repot into leca mixed with perlite in a pot that has good drainage.
