Autumn

This year has been supper hard on my plants. I can’t even tell you how many have died from sickness and to top it of when I put them outside to hopefully get a few some extra sun the weather whiplashed and 24 hours later it snowed and I was unable to get them in due to being out for the day.. now I need help. San is one of my all time favs and Im doubting all of my plant knowledge rn haha. What’s wrong with him?? All help is GLADLY welcomed.

If anything it would be underwatering though, he’s on a strict watering schedule and gets watered once a month

Also, a strict watering schedule isn’t good for houseplants. You want to physically be checking the soil moisture and watering as necessary depending on the plant’s needed dryness level before watering. Also is that cactus soil? It looks pretty dense for cactus. He could be rotting at the base. I’d pull him out and check for any squishiness and smell. Then repot in cactus soil and let him dry out completely before watering, checking with a wooden skewer to make sure. I use planta as a reminder to check soil level and then snooze as needed.

i wouldn’t recommend watering your plant on a schedule, plants change how much water they use daily based on a number of factors such as temperature, humidity, airflow, lighting, season, and growth/dormancy. watering your plant on a schedule can mean you water too soon or too late, causing overwatering or underwatering symptoms. for plants that need to dry out completely between waterings, watering too soon (according to schedule) can cause rot

Try checking moisture with a moisture meter. Since it was out in the cold it may have retained more moisture than normal.
