Can someone help me with my spider plant? My dad knocked it over, on accident and it lay face down for about 2 days before we noticed it, (I’m a busy person lol) and it’s pretty much gone. However there is a tiny baby plant growing from the top (you can see it in the picture) any tips??

It may shock it, but the baby spider plant would do better in a lot smaller pot, only a few inches bigger than its roots. Humidity would help it grow better -I hope you can save it!

Thank you so much! I will definitely try that. The bigger leaves just fell off in my hand today so it’s just down to the little baby. Thank you!!

It’s always sad when this happens 😭 I’ve had a few spider plant fails so I learned the hard way that they like a snug pot

I agree that using a smaller pot about one inch wider than the diameter of the root ball is good.. Try a 4 inch pot. Use well draining soil like succulent soil mixed with coco coir and perlite. Avoid breaking the roots to prevent infection. Trim the dead leaf parts. Fertilize with 50% diluted liquid fertilizer twice a month. Add SuperThrive plant vitamins to help it recover. Water when the soil is completely dried out. šŸŖ“šŸ€

Thank you! I don’t have access to those types of soil right now,as i live in the interior of Alaska. Will I be okay until summer when I can get better soil?

It had to be ok if you can’t get the soil. Definitely, reduce the pot size even if you have to use a plastic drink cup with lots of holes and the current soil. šŸŖ“šŸ€
