Is this transfer shock? I just bought this lavender and repotted it almost 2 weeks ago, it did really well the first week and then this week it started wilting. I avoided watering after repotting and it gets sun for most of the day.

Are you saying you have not watered it since you repotted it?
0件のいいねOnly suuper light watering once last week and once this week (against the app recommendation), since the planta app is saying not to water at all until next week. I repotted on the 15th, should I just do a full on watering?
いいね 1件Also because I keep reading that lavender doesn’t like water
いいね 1件Ok, gotcha. It just looks like it needs water to me.
いいね 1件I think they are meaning it doesn’t like to sit in water. So you water it until water drains out the bottom drainage holes and then water again when the top of the soil is dry.
いいね 1件I see, that’s where I made my mistake then. I’ll water it thoroughly today and see what happens. Fingers crossed.
いいね 1件Looks thirsty?
2件のいいねI have not had this specific plant, but any non-succulents, I always water in when I repot so the roots are not sitting in air pockets. I would recommend a full on water to settle the roots and then water on the regular schedule recommended by planta. Is there a reason you haven’t been watering as planta recommended? I’m guessing I’m missing something.😅
0件のいいねI watered it the day I repotted it (not enough evidently), thinking that would be enough until the next watering. When it started wilting is when I tried to water it earlier than the suggested frequency.
いいね 1件Unless you are repotting plant for root rot/ over watering you should always water the plant after repotting. It helps stress the plant less and promotes it to start growing into its new space.
いいね 1件Yes, absolutely!
0件のいいねAnother thing to note is amount of water isn’t what will overwater a plant it’s the frequency of when you water. Always water thoroughly but not too often, indoor plants are easier to overwater because they are not outside where the sun will evaporate the r water faster. And it’s why good drainage is important.
2件のいいねI’m jealous of your good plant taking-care-of skills lol
