Is this transfer shock? I just bought this lavender and repotted it almost 2 weeks ago, it did really well the first week and then this week it started wilting. I avoided watering after repotting and it gets sun for most of the day.

Are you saying you have not watered it since you repotted it?
0 LikesOnly suuper light watering once last week and once this week (against the app recommendation), since the planta app is saying not to water at all until next week. I repotted on the 15th, should I just do a full on watering?
1 LikeAlso because I keep reading that lavender doesnât like water
1 LikeOk, gotcha. It just looks like it needs water to me.
1 LikeI think they are meaning it doesnât like to sit in water. So you water it until water drains out the bottom drainage holes and then water again when the top of the soil is dry.
1 LikeI see, thatâs where I made my mistake then. Iâll water it thoroughly today and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

2 LikesI have not had this specific plant, but any non-succulents, I always water in when I repot so the roots are not sitting in air pockets. I would recommend a full on water to settle the roots and then water on the regular schedule recommended by planta. Is there a reason you havenât been watering as planta recommended? Iâm guessing Iâm missing something.đ
0 LikesI watered it the day I repotted it (not enough evidently), thinking that would be enough until the next watering. When it started wilting is when I tried to water it earlier than the suggested frequency.
1 LikeUnless you are repotting plant for root rot/ over watering you should always water the plant after repotting. It helps stress the plant less and promotes it to start growing into its new space.
1 LikeYes, absolutely!
0 LikesAnother thing to note is amount of water isnât what will overwater a plant itâs the frequency of when you water. Always water thoroughly but not too often, indoor plants are easier to overwater because they are not outside where the sun will evaporate the r water faster. And itâs why good drainage is important.
2 LikesIâm jealous of your good plant taking-care-of skills lol
0 LikesItâs my first time having plants..
