Is it just on the white? It could be svorching from too much sun. You can help fortify them with silica
2 Me gustaShould all plants with white variagation in their leaves have silica with their watering? TIA…
1 me gustaIn my opinion, yes. I've started using it on all my collection, not just albo or variegated. It helps fortify the plant cells and makes the plants stronger
2 Me gustaTXS for that info on silica! Can you tell me the name of a silica product that you have used and like? TIA… PS. I just realized I’ve been using a product by general hydroponics called Armor Si, 0-0-4. It says it’s a plant growth nutrient, and the labeling shows it has 4% of soluble potash, derived from potassium silicate. Is this the same type of product you’re talking about? This was recommended to me by someone on Planta that was using it to keep the white in his plant leaves, whiter. My concern with this product is that it has a warning saying that it’s a very powerful base, meaning it’s extremely alkaline, and it will raise nutrient pH. There’s a warning that tells you not to allow nutrient pH to rise higher than 6.5. I find this very confusing and don’t understand it… but it concerns me. What is your take on this info? TIA…
1 me gustaPS. Sorry about the novel! I do that on occasion… 😬!
