Hey all- my majesty palm has been giving me grief since I brought her home (a common experience, I’ve discovered😞). I moved her about 6 ft away from my window because at first all of her leaves were crisping and turning brown/ yellow. She perked up a bit, but still wasn’t doing great. Then I reported her almost 2 weeks ago into a much larger pot with a humidity tray and humidifier, because I was reading they need really high humidity. But now one of her crowns seems to be growing a fungus/ starting to crown rot. AHG not sure what to do. I haven’t watered her for almost 10 days but she still feels damp. Any advice is welcome 🙏🏻🙁

I would wipe off the white stuff with some rubbing alcohol on a qtip. Could just be some hard water residue. When I want to dry out the soil I get a chop stick and air rate the soil. So you stick it into the dirt, careful for roots, and then make little circles. This will help a bit. Also just a good practice. It helps spreading water evenly to soil and keeping some airflow.
