My spider plant is drooping and my snake plant is drooping and has yellow leaves. The snake plant on here said it is sensitive to acid in water which I gave it tap water so that could be the issue but does anyone have any other ideas as to why my plants aren’t happy? (I already pulled yellow leaves off of snake)

For which plant? Or both? The spider is facing east so it gets decent sun in the morning and my snake faces south so maybe

snake plants love the sun so you should put it in a sunnier spot or get a grow. and i heard that spider plants like to be humid

the plant in your second pic doesn’t look like a snake plant. how often are you watering your spider plant?

agreed. it looks like an aroid of some sort, spathiphyllum (peace lily) or aglaonema maybe

your spider plant looks over watered. how wet is the soil when you give it more water? it should be completely dry. they may not look it based on the leaves but spider plants are incredibly drought resistant because of their thick fleshy roots that store lots of water. i don’t water mine until the leaves start to droop a bit. the leaves will also take on a more blue hue when it’s thirsty.

it’s possible the pot may be too big for it as well. was it recently pruned off the mother plant? that stem should be cut right next to the base of the plantlet, the extra stem is unnecessary for the little one, but leaving it attached to the mother plant will typically cause another node to activate and another baby spider to be produced.

It was recently pruned off of the mother plant. It’s only a 4in pot though.

So cut it down near the stem? Under the soil you mean

yes, there shouldn’t be much of the vine if any attached to the baby plant. 4” is a really big pot if it has no roots. if i’m propagating a spider plant directly into soil, i typically use 1.5–2” pots. spider plants like to be a bit crowded since they are epiphytes and prefer to dry out quickly. if you don’t have a smaller pot and can’t fashion one, it might be a good idea to let yours grow a root system in water before transitioning to soil

How long should the roots grow in water? There are two roots at the moment thatre white - one 3/4 in long one 1/2 in long

i would recommend making separate posts for each of your plants that are struggling, it’ll make it easier to address the issues. monstera leaves curl when they’re not getting enough water, it is most likely due to underwatering or root rot. if you’re using plain potting soil (without amendments like perlite or bark chips) that’s likely why the soil doesn’t drain well. most commercial media, even if labeled for houseplants, tends to be way too moisture retentive for an indoor environment. i recommend sol soils’ media for people with a tendency to overwater but repotme dot com has lots of good specialized mixes as well
