I wanted to get some opinions on what is growing on this root, it’s my devils ivy plant, and it’s been having a tough time as of late but it’s the first time I’ve noticed this white stuff. My guess is mould of some kind. Any tips on how best to handle this would be greatly appreciated.
That’s a normal part of a root. Those are the fine hairs that pick up moisture from the soil or from any water they reach. There is standing water below the pot encouraging the roots to grow outside the pot. You can see them on a Hoya Tengchongensis cutting I had in a plastic sandwich bag.
