    If you got it like this with no history. I'd just clip it, keep an eye out for pests while it's in quarantine. It could just be an older leaf, or could indicate a need to repot and check roots. If more start yellowing

    Is it a Snake plant? They like to dry out completely

    Im not too sure the type of plant it is. The only backstory I have is that it's 8 years old

      If ypu take a pic of the full plant and post it in plant id we can help identify, so you can give percise care. It looks maybe like a dracenea species, but can't tell for sure
