Can anyone tell me what the brown spots on my African Violet’s leaves mean?

Are they mushy? If they are it’s probably overwatered or the roots are rotting a little bit. Are they dry or crispy? It could mean that it’s being underwatered. They also could be showing up because the plant might be root bound and is trying to tell you that it’s ready for a bigger pot

They aren’t mushy. It’s more dry, not crispy. I water her every 10 days by putting her in a bowl of water for 30 minutes and then I pour a little bit of water on the top soil to get it more moist. Before I put her in her decorate pot I let her drip out excess water and kind of air out. Do you think that is over watering? Or maybe you’re right and I need to repot her into a bigger pot

wouldn’t be overwatering because the plant would be mushy. I would take it out and have a good look at the roots. it really does sound root bound

Also, I’ve had her for a little over a year and half. I haven’t repotted her since I got her.

Was there ever water on the leaves? They’re super sensitive to anything on their leaves, especially water!!

Yes, when I watered from the top some water got onto the leaves and I didn’t wipe it off. Thank you for suggesting that! I’ll be more careful.

I find drying the leaves after helps, or bottom watering
