What does this leaf on my dieffenbachia mean? is this a leaf that would have died anyways as a bottom leaf? Or is this overwatering?

My guess is overwatering from not enough light. These require pretty much straight on light from a window.

Thank you, I’ve put it with my succulents instead. Just got this bad boy from Walmart a week ago but that leaf is getting worse everyday.

There is drainage holes, roots aren’t shooting at the bottom. Roots look fine from what I can see. I’ve had him for like a week and a half from Walmart. Just noticing this leaf get worse everyday. I watered it 3 days after Walmart and I was worried it was overwatered so I put it on new paper to dry.

once the leaf has turned mostly yellow you can trim it, as ive heard yellow leaves attract pests. but maybe it is just an older leaf dying off. if any more leaves start to quickly lose their green, then i would do some investigating. :) best of luck!
