Does anyone know how to destroy the white mold that grows on top of the soil in my indoor house plants? Will rocks on top of the soil work?

I usually put alcohol in a spray bottle and spray the top layer

1 j'aimeYou could use more chunky soil! I would recommend SolSoils, but I use premixed soil from my local plant nursery( surprisingly chunky) and some cheap perlite
0 J'aimeOk. Thank you I may try that also.
1 j'aimeI reccomend mixing some baking soda with water and spraying the top it doesn’t harm the plants
1 j'aimeConsistently wet soil promotes the growth of fungus. Let the soil dry out between watering. Are you using it as a self watering pot? Is there a wick continuously providing water to the soil? I recommend not leaving water full time in the bottom. Let the soil dry out. Provide good airflow to dry the water more quickly in the soil. A commercial fungicide will get rid of fungus. 🍀🪴
