Hello, I have a variegated umbrella tray and I got her last week repotted her with while draining soil and gave her a small watering. I’m not sure what the company used on her leaves, but it has this flaky residue on all of them, not sure if it was just a protectant for the shipping. Today I noticed she had a lot of fall, unsure if this is just a normal cycle that happens after shipment or if there’s something else I need to be doing.

about the leaf loss — give her time to acclimate. these are a lot thirstier than you might think, especially in the summer the waxy coating you’re seeing is probably normal — mine gets build up on the leaves that i use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe away when the mood strikes. (also nurseries do spray stuff so it could be that too, you can just spray her down)

Should I water her some more or just let her ride it out for right now?

Old leaf drop is totally normal! –especially if this was mailed to you. If that residue from the nursery bugs you like it bugs me, you could use warm water and a gentle cloth to wipe the leaves. The new leaves won't have that flaky powdery stuff but they will be naturally waxy like eatyacarbs said.
