Hi! Does any know what these are? I’ve recently repotted my philodendron gloriosum a few weeks ago due to the same reason. I am just wondering if they are harmless or should I be concerned with their presence in my indoor plant soil. Thank youuu!
My best guess are springtails- they’re beneficial as they eat mold and fungus that may pop up in your soil. They also typically hang out in/around soil. If you give one a little nudge with a small stick and it jumps, definitely a springtail.

what state are you in? these look like ghost ants to me, but that's a florida thing. if they are ants, they aren't inherently harmful, but if they go unchecked the colony can get large enough to affect root function. they also may start an aphid farm in your soil, as ants are known to do 🙈 so i say get rid. use taro liquid ant bait, worked great for me
0 Mi piaceI think ghost ants’ the closest one that looks like them. I’ve already repotted them, but some are still insight. They’re annoying. I live in Queensland, Australia. I’ll check on that ant bait. For now, hoping cinnamon powder could help. Lol.
