   You can try little sticky traps that you place in the soil of your plants. You can find them at most garden centers I think.

   if you want more of a long term fix, i’d recommend mosquito dunks! if you water after they’ve soaked for 24 hours, it’ll kill any eggs in the soil. then supplement with yellow sticky traps to monitor how many are still a problem and bottom water when you can!

   I have sticky traps, sprinkle cinnamon at the base of my plants, ACV in little dishes by my open windows, and try to bottom water only! Also you can get systemic granules to put in the top layer of your soil. But some gnats will still find a way, it’s almost inevitable!

   I second the apple cider vinegar recommendation. And anything else you notice they’re attracted to. I made a trap from apple cider vinegar, a liquid probiotic that they kept landing on and a couple other random bits mixed in a bowl with a little water and a few drops of dish soap to break the surface tension. I covered this with plastic wrap with some stabbed holes, and left it near the worst affected plants for a couple weeks. It was gross but did the trick for the flying ones more than anything else I’ve tried. It got rid of pretty much all of my last lot (which wasn’t as bad as I’ve had in the past). I also have sticky traps in all my plants so I can tell when an infestation is starting and can see which plants are affected. Traps could end up being anything, we got a new vase earlier in the week and when I changed the water today, I found about 10 fungus gnats trapped in the vase, so now I know it works as a trap, and also that I have a gnat issue starting that I wasn’t aware of 😬

   I use a special gnat “spray” that I put in the water you can get it on Amazon I got it at target but before I had that I sprinkled a small amount diatomaceous earth on the top of the soil so the gnats wouldn’t lay eggs and would die off!

   Neem oil! They like damp soil so I’d skip a watering or just go a little longer between, try bottom watering, and make sure the soil isn’t wet when you water. 1/4 mosquito bit to ur water, sticky traps
