Help! This is my Chinese Hibiscus, I took the plant out of the pot and saw new roots growing and then removed it from bright light. Can anyone tell me why leaves are yellow and tips for care?

I’m not sure why you took it out of bright light. These hibiscus like bright light and thrive in 8 hours minimum of direct sunlight. They can take a little shade for part of the day. A south facing window is best. Overwatering can cause the leaves to yellow in addition to insufficient light. Let the soil almost dry out before watering. Low nutrient levels is another cause of yellow leaves. Be sure to fertilize at least once a month. 🍀🪴

As for sun, mine lives in my backyard that gets full TX sun for 8+ hours a day and does great as long as it gets enough water. That’s probably 2-3 times a week for a massive pot, maybe 20 gal? Definitely needs more light, possibly less water, acidify the soil if you repotted, and fertilize with a fertilizer for acid loving plants.
3 Mi piaceI forgot they need acidic fertilizer. Many years ago I had some in the ground in front conifers and azaleas. They all liked acidic soil.
