My bonsai is looking a bit faded? I’ve been watering as per the schedule but not sure if it’s sitting in too much light or why it’s now very light green as opposed to the dark green it was when I got it 😢 any guidance?

Are those heating vents? Or air conditioning or any other source of a draft? If it is that could be a problem.

0 J'aimeI moved it away from there, should I just wait and see if it looks better after some time away from it?
0 J'aimeCheck for spider mites too. I’ve hear they can make bonsai look faded
0 J'aimeDont Water, according to a schedule. Only water when it’s dry or you could be overwatering. I use moisture indicator sticks from Amazon and when they turn white, then I stick my finger in the dirt to make sure it’s dry. But at least that way, I don’t have to stick my finger in all my plants every day to check on them and the indicator sticks are reliable.
0 J'aimePlanta watering should always be treated as a reminder to look at your plant, not water it 😭 They use varying factors to predict your watering needs, but your own environmental factors can be different from their assumptions. Overwatering is the most common cause of plant damage on this app and I mean that so seriously

Unfortunately…this bonsai has long passed. Junipers aren’t indoor plants and require the outside seasons to also go into dormancy. If you would like an indoor bonsai, I would look into a ficus, that do way better indoors as the species doesn’t require a dormancy period.
